Central Energy Fund CEF (Pty) Ltd:
The Energy Development Corporation of CEF (Pty) Ltd - A Newly Established Division for Furthering a Renewable Energy Agenda in Africa

CEF (Pty) Ltd is a South African Government entity operating in the energy sector. The South African Government has made a long-term commitment to promote renewable energy by establishing a new division in CEF, the Energy Development Corporation (EDC), who through investment, has to further the use of renewable energy. EDC considers investments in South Africa and in the rest of Africa. EDC has been well resourced to fund its investment activities through the funds of CEF. EDC does not only consider commercial investments but also investments with utility rates of returns or investments to develop and catalyse sectors of renewable energy, energy efficiency and low smoke fuels. EDC intends to use the conference to profile itself and its planned activities to the international renewable energy community and pursue opportunities for cooperation and collaboration.
