The National Advisory Committee (NAC) was the conference forum
for German actors in the field of renewable energies and
development cooperation. The group included members of the
Bundestag (German parliament) and representatives of the German
federal states (L�nder), associations, the private sector,
academic and scientific institutions, and non-governmental
organisations: all had expertise and experience in the conference
fields � national and/or international � that were to be integrated
into the preparation process. The 45 members were appointed by the
two ministries in charge of the conference.
