The Renewable Energy and International Law Project (REILP), World Conservation Union (IUCN) and Aldelphi Research:
International Law and the Promotion of Renewable Energy
This event is organised by the Renewable Energy and International Law Project (REILP), the World Conservation Union's Environmental Law Center and Aldelphi Research. It will comprise presentations on the role of international law in promoting renewables from a variety of legal and policy experts. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to discuss with the panel: how current international law impedes or sustains renewable energy markets; what barriers and unrealized opportunities international law regimes create; how such barriers can be managed or removed; and whether the management/removal of barriers is sufficient to promote renewables. In addition Adelphi Research consultants will present work to date on how international institutional arrangements for the promotion of renewables can be improved.
The REILP is an evolving partnership of government, industry, finance and academia which supports the development of renewable energy through international law.
