renewables 2004: Accreditation for journalists extended by one week

7 May 2004. Journalists wishing to cover the International Conference for Renewable Energies, renewables 2004, taking place 1-4 June, 2004, have one more week to apply for accreditation:
The deadline for accreditation is Friday, May 14!

Accreditation of national and international members of the press takes place exclusively on-line, at www.renewables2004.de/de/press/accreditation.asp. Among the data journalists must supply are the numbers of their valid press card and national ID card/passport. They must then present both of these documents when they pick up their conference information packets and media badges.
In order to ensure smooth processing despite increased security, even journalists with annual accreditation must have separate accreditation for the conference: these journalists are therefore requested to complete the accreditation form as well.

The registration counter for media in the International Congress Centre (Internationales Kongresszentrum Bundeshaus Bonn, IKBB), Grrestrasse 15, 53113 Bonn, will be open May 30 and 31 from 11:00 to 15:00. Journalists are strongly urged to pick up their documents on these two days in order to avoid delays later on. On June 1, the media counter will open at 7:30 a.m.

The regional broadcasting station Westdeutscher Rundfunk Kln (WDR) is running a
Radio Centre, which will provide workplaces for fellow radio journalists. The colleagues in radio are requested to contact WDR as the host broadcaster for further information and bookings: [email protected], tel. +49 (0)221 220 3298.

A preliminary draft programme for the official conference meetings will appear shortly on the renewables website. Side events will be held on all four conference days, as will an exhibition and a variety of receptions in the evenings, to which journalists are warmly invited. Further information is available at: www.renewables2004.de.
