Outcomes
The International Action Programme for renewable energies:

The International Action Programme (IAP) for renewable energies is one of the outcomes of the conference. It includes concrete actions and commitments towards developing renewable energies which were put forward by a large number of governments, international organisations and stakeholders from civil society, the private sector and other stakeholder groups. All conference participants were invited to contribute to the IAP with voluntary commitments to goals, targets and actions within their own spheres of responsibility.

In the Political Declaration the participants agreed to implement the actions and commitments themselves, to report to the Commission for Sustainable Development (CSD) on the implementation of the Action Programme and to review the progress achieved in each case. Appropriate arrangements for follow-up should be identified in a future meeting in preparation for CSD 14/15.

Almost 200 contributions to the IAP
The "Call for Actions and Commitments" for the International Action Programme has been answered by numerous participants worldwide. All submitting parties express a strong willingness to promote renewable energies. About 200 proposed voluntary actions and commitments from all over the globe have been accepted for incorporation into the IAP.
